RELASI GRAMATIKAL OBLIK DALAM KLAUSA BAHASA JEPANG

Abstract

This paper discusses the grammatical relations of oblique in Japanese clause. The purpose is to determine the structure of oblique in the Japanese clause. Oblique concept used in this paper is the oblique concept according to the Relational Grammar theory by Blake (1994:203) states oblique in current linguistics has been used to refer to all cases of non-core. In relational grammar distinction is made between the core relations (subject, direct object and indirect object) and oblique relation (semantic relationships such as, locative and instrumental). The analytical method used, namely distributional method, which is oblique as the research object is determinant element. The technique used is the changing form that is the change in the form of one or several concerned lingual units(Mahsun, 2007).The result shows the distribution of the clause Japanese oblique position at the beginning of clause (front of the subject) and in middle of clause (behind the subject / before verb). There are ten types of oblique in Japanese clause. After being tested, from ten type oblique in Japanese shows that the oblique status gets advancement experience into the core relationships, that is subject relation through passivation. Advancement to this subject relation is found in a clause containing purpose oblique. Advancement of purpose oblique are in the verbs with two argument, i.e. verb nigiraseru 'to hand'.
